Gold Spell Everk Alisei Progressive Smoothing Treatment – 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) is the Brazilian progressive that thinks like Korean cosmetic science. At its heart sits Yejin Fusion®, Everk's proprietary technology, built on a simple premise: a smoothing service should look after the fibre while it realigns it, not strip the hair and hand you the repair bill afterwards.
The cream is made without formaldehyde and works on two fronts at once. The NANOCORTILINE® smoothing system handles alignment and frizz control, while the Glass Liss System® works on the surface of the strand for the mirror-like reflection people call glass hair. Amino acids, biocollagen, panthenol, botanical extracts and nourishing oils travel in the same base, so the hair that comes out looks uniform and feels soft rather than stripped.

- ClarifyWash the hair one to two times with an anti-residue (clarifying) shampoo.
- Dry to 80%Towel- or blow-dry until the hair is roughly 80% dry — damp, not wet.
- Section and applyDivide the hair into even sections and start at the nape, working from root to ends while keeping the product off the scalp.
- Let it workLeave on for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Rinse and dryRinse out all the excess with water, then dry the hair completely.
- Seal with the ironFlat-iron in thin sections, 5 to 15 passes per section, at 200 °C to 230 °C (390 °F to 445 °F) according to hair thickness.
Expert Tip: always run a strand test first, especially on coloured, bleached or previously treated hair. Finer, more fragile hair does better at the lower end of the temperature range with fewer passes; coarse, resistant hair needs the higher end. Follow up with a sulfate-free, salt-free maintenance shampoo and conditioner to keep the finish looking smooth for longer.

Does it contain formaldehyde?
No. The manufacturer states there is no formaldehyde in the formula. It relies instead on technologies that align the fibre while conditioning it, which is why the application is far less pungent than older straightening products. Even so, keep the room well ventilated while you work.
Does it really straighten, or does it just reduce volume?
It straightens while it treats. How straight depends on your hair — natural texture and chemical history both matter — and on how thoroughly you iron each thin section.
