RAGE IN MY EYES

Rage In My Eyes is a Heavy Metal band hailing from the south of Brazil. Rage In My Eyes` music differs from all other bands due to the addition of elements of folk music from the "Pampas", a South American landscape that covers the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, Uruguay and Northern Argentina. It is the land of the "Gauchos".

Rage Is My Eyes blends Heavy and Prog Metal with "Milonga" - a typical popular music from that region - with the inclusion of the accordion on top of heavy guitars and blazing drums, which makes the music unusual and very interesting. The band also presents a fresh look, while dressing up in "bombachas", "guaiacas" and other elements that are traditionally worn by the "Gauchos". A light body paint reinforces the rage in their eyes.

In 2019, Rage In My Eyes put out their fresh new album ICE CELL on every streaming platform. It was partially recorded in Los Angeles, and mixed and mastered by producer Adair Daufembach, known for his work with Tony MacAlpine, Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth, former Angra), Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth, former Soilwork), Aquiles Priester (WASP, Tony MacAlpine, former Angra) and more. In July, the music video for "Death Sleepers" was released. The video brings elements of the "Gaucho" culture. In October the band opened for IRON MAIDEN in their hometown of Porto Alegre, Brazil, playing in front of 40,000 people. In February 2020, the music video for "Hole In The Shell" was released, with footage taken from this memorable evening. Also in February 2020, Rage In My Eyes signed with Alpha Omega Management.

Rage In My Eyes` history takes us back to 2002, when Scelerata was formed. Under the name Scelerata, the band released three albums worlwide. The third album, "The Sniper", was partially recorded in Germany, at the Blind Guardian studio, with producer Charlie Bauerfeind - who also mixed and mastered the album -, and features special guests such as Andi Deris (Helloween) and Paul DiAnno (former Iron Maiden), not only as singers but also as co-writers. From 2009 to 2015, Scelerata was Paul DiAnno`s official Brazilian backing band, performing five tours and 50+ shows, also opening every single show. In 2014 the band was chosen by Mike Portnoy (Sons of Apollo, former Dream Theater) to perform at the rock cruise Prog Nation at the Sea. Under the name Scelerata, the band opened for bands like Deep Purple, Gamma Ray, Edguy, Kamelot, Angra and Dream Theater. In 2018, Scelerata changed it`s name to RAGE IN MY EYES focusing on expanding it`s international fanbase.
